Everton 1 Luton Town 2

What a day. It began at Luton bus station shortly before 9am, and ended in a similar location just before Match of the Day kicked off. What a shame the BBC didn't recall Garth Crooks to the pundit sofa for one night only to reflect on his ridiculous comments made a few weeks ago. 3,000 Luton fans who were up on Merseyside know that this Hatters side are going to hold their own in the Premier League.  A dash from the bus just after 3pm meant we missed the first few minutes but by the time we were standing in the Bullens Upper Luton were well on top. A succession of corners delivered expertly by Alfie Doughty gave the Toffees warning. At the third time of asking Carlton rose like a colossus to thunder a header on to the bar via a Pickford flick. As the ball came rocketing down, Ashley Young must have imagined he was back at the Watford training ground and thought it was time for a shimmy. He had reckoned without Tommy Tommy Lockyer who charged forward and the ball crashed into the ne...

73: KDH Linked, Boxes Cleared

73 days until Luton kick off in the Premier League.

The Executive boxes are being stripped. The race is on to build a new stand in 12 weeks. After the drama, emotion, and joy of Wembley, this confirms Premier League is indeed reality and not just the most magnificent dream.

And exciting transfer news. KDH is maybe coming back. Can it be true?

We can hope. Leicester are now Championship, Luton are Premier League so it is in the best interests of players to compete for the club in the higher league. Dewsbury Hall enjoyed a stellar loan spell a few seasons ago, winning Players' Player of the Season for the Hatters. He knows the club, and we could offer him Premier League football straight away.

However, while the Daily Express report is very exciting, let's not get ahead of ourselves. KDH will surely have other suitors, and will cost a hefty sum, having signed a contract until 2027. It is still fun to speculate though. A possible midfield of Dewsbury Hall, Nakamba, Pelly looks very suited to the demands of Premier League football. This would be an incredible piece of business if the Hatters could somehow pull it off.

There will be many more articles coming very soon analysing transfer rumours, including how likely they are, where the player would fit, and how effective they would be.

62: Transfer Speculation Frenzy

62 days until super Robbie gives his first Match of the Day interview and talks live to Gary Lineker. No actual transfer or ticket news this week but as the transfer window opens next week, we would expect some movement. Goalkeepers Travers has been linked as has Begovic. Lascelles strongly tipped from Newcastle. A big money bid for Chuba Akpom could be on the cards. Even the manager has been linked with a switch to Leeds United now with 49ers backing.  The new Bobbers stand is coming on nicely. Excellent new BBC 3 counties podcast to follow as well.
